Tyee PTSA Competition Math Club (TCMC) aims to foster students’ interest in mathematics through preparing for and participating in various local, regional, state and national math competitions.

 

AMC10 Registration For Non-club members 

Opens for non-club members: Oct 19, 2024 (Sat) 8 AM - Oct 25, 2024 (Fri) 11:59 PM
Limited slots, first-come, first-served.
$10 per student.
Covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade

Eligibility: Students in 10th grade or below, under 17.5 years on contest day.

  • AMC 10A exam is  on Nov 6, 2024 at 5pm, Tyee Library
  •  AMC 10B exam is on Nov 12, 2024 at 5pm, Tyee Library

Opens: Saturday, September 14th, 2024  at 8 am 

Closes: Wednesday, September 18th, 2024  at 11:59 pm or until all spots fill up, whichever comes first.

Registration Fee: $80 per student, non-refundable

* PTSA Membership required prior to registration, please renew here if you haven't done so already.

  • When registering, we recommend providing an email address which you frequently check.  Majority club communications will be through emails.  One email per student will be kept on record.
  • Each family is expected to volunteer twice this year. It is required by the school district to have at least one parent volunteer in each classroom for each week's activity. Once class placements are finalized, we will share a signup link for volunteers.
  • In order to ensure productive math learning activities, we will implement the following club rule besides the School Building Use Rules: classroom coaches will give out warnings to students who disrupt classroom activities, which will be notified to parents via email. If a student receives three warnings, the student's parent is required to serve as classroom volunteer in their students' room for all future club meetings in order to continue attending club activities.

Placement Test

Friday, September 27th, 2024 at Tyee Commons (The exam will be open only to students who completed the registration. Exam time will be emailed to parents.)
