The 2025 Tyee Lunar New Year Celebration has been rescheduled to Friday, January 31, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Tyee Commons due to a scheduling conflict with the building's use. All Tyee students and their families are warmly invited to join us for an evening of cultural festivities and celebration!
Student Performances 🎤
To kick off the event, we’re inviting Tyee students to showcase their talents on stage! Whether you sing, dance, play an instrument, or perform in any other way, we would love for you to be part of this special celebration. If you're interested in performing, please sign up via the link below.

Student Booths 🎪
This year, we’ll also have a marketplace area where Tyee students and their families can host booths to share and celebrate their culture. Use this space to sell items, offer arts and crafts, organize games, or present any activity that highlights your culture, traditions, or the Lunar New Year. It’s a great opportunity to showcase your creativity and entrepreneurial spirit! Reserve your booth today if you’d like to participate. Please see the Student Booth Guideline for detail information.

Sponsor Booths 🎗️
We are looking for some sponsors to support our event. If you know of individuals or businesses interested in setting up a sponsor booth during the event, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Any questions, please contact lunarnewyear@tyeeptsa.
Dear Tyee Band Families, we’re excited to announce a one-time band fundraising effort through Tyee PTSA! All proceeds will be used to purchase new instruments/equipment for the marching band, with some in dire need of replacement. Every band student and audience-hundreds (parade audience-thousands, TV audience-tens of thousands) benefits from this equipment. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and every contribution makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting the Tyee Band and helping us reach our goals!
We are excited to announce that the first batch of 8th-grade promotion souvenir hoodies will be delivered on Monday, December 9th, during lunchtime.
If you missed placing your order the first time, we’re thrilled to let you know that the sales window has reopened! You now have until Sunday, January 5th, 2025, to place your order.
You can personalize your hoodie with your student’s name—choose their first name, last name, initials, or full name—to be printed on the back.
For any questions, please feel free to email us at promotionparty@tyeeptsa.org.
Thank you for your continued support!
Walk About is a lunch time volunteer program that helps our students fully enjoy their time with their peers at lunch. We are looking for parent volunteers to be present at lunch as a positive adult influence at all of our different lunch times. This is a great way to interact with our students and support their overall well being while at school.
Parents who volunteer must be verified to be eligible volunteers per the BSD policy and have a valid background check on record. The time commitment is one lunch per month (however, volunteers are welcome to come as much as they desire). If you did not attend a prior training, you will need to meet with the WA coordinator via phone for a one on one training (20 min) and you can reach out at wab@tyeeptsa.org to schedule that.
Once you complete training and are an eligible volunteer, please sign up!
