WalkAbout is a PTSA program that partners with the school to provide a positive adult presence on campus during peak times, primarily before school and during lunches, to help encouraging appropriate behavior, allowing students to feel safe while giving you a great volunteer opportunity impacting your child’s environment and providing a connection to middle school. The most important part of this program is the VOLUNTEERS! 

How to volunteer for WalkAbout?   

• Watch the training video. 
• All volunteers must complete BSD background check .  The front office will verify this on your first visit. 
• Arrive 5 minutes prior to your assigned time. Check in with the LobbyGuard site at the computer in the front office. Request Orange 'WalkAbout' Lanyard  from the front office and wear them during your volunteer time
• Once you are done, check out with the LobbyGuard site at the computer in the front office.
• It is an easy, flexible, fun way to get involved in the school community. Each time slot is only 30 minutes, and four different time slots each day for your convenience.  
• Program will start on Monday, October 16, 2023 - Sign up HERE. Please sign up with your full name and student name
