At the Lunar New Year Festival, we plan to have a bazaar area where Tyee students can put their creativity and entrepreneurial skillsets to work and host booths that promote their culture.

 

Booth Guidelines

  •  You can either sell items, provide arts and craft activities, provide games or anything else that promote aspects of your culture and traditions. We request that items/activities  be related to lunar new year or is relevant to your culture/tradition. 
  • A 6 foot table and 2 chairs will be provided.
  • Your booth can be for profit or non-profit(ie provide the activity for free).
  • Students and their families get to keep any/all profit that they make at the booth!
  • Students/families are welcomed to collaborate and take turns managing the booth. Please have someone overseeing the booth at all times. 
  • You can NOT advertise for an external vendor or company. Outside vendors who are interested have to register separately. 
  • You can NOT sell or provide food items. The PTSA has exclusive rights to this. 
  • Remember your audience: This is a family friendly event at school. All items and activities should be age appropriate. No weapons, hazardous or flammable items would be allowed. 

 

Registration

Closes:  Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 11:59pm or when all spots fill up, whichever comes first

Registration Fee: $10 per booth for current Tyee students. Non-refundable

There will only be 10 spots available, first come first serve. 

 

Arrival And Setup

  • The event runs from 6:30 - 9:00 pm on Friday February 2, 2024.
  • Please plan to arrive by 6:00pm to start setup.
  • An event volunteer will direct you to your assigned spot upon arrival. 
  • Please remember to bring change for larger bills if any money is involved. Customers will be paying you directly. 

 

After the Event 

  • The event ends at 9:00pm. Please plan to stay until that time and start pack up at 9:00 pm.
  • Please help to keep our school clean - pick up any trash around you and leave your area how you found it.
